Repairing Knee Injuries

by | Aug 30, 2024 | Uncategorized

About 30,000 knee injuries happen in frontal motor vehicle crashes in the US every year. In most cases, injuries to the knee involve more than one structure in the joint. The lasting consequences of a knee injury are related to persistent chronic pain. At RK Strength Training, we can help you build back the strength in your knee with special strength exercises. One of my clients, Laura, was recovering from knee surgery and wanted to improve the strength of her knee.

Her activity level had greatly diminished over the last few years due to the knee surgery. We put together a custom training program to rebuild the strength in her knee. I put Laura through a series of strength training and Bemer sessions, that resulted in life-changing improvements. Generally speaking, protecting the knee can begin with strengthening the hip and stabilizing the knee joint. I use hip mobility and hip activation movements to awaken the hips/glutes. I use TKE to stabilize the knee. As I strengthen her knee Laura is well on her way to her weight loss goal of 50lbs. At this present time, she has lost over 35lbs.

We work with adults recovering from injuries like Laura, who want to improve their body strength as a result of a weakened limb from injury.  At RK Strength TrainingRonnie Kenyatta is a Performance Enhancement Specialist who helps athletes or ordinary adults improve their overall fitness.
